They were tearing him apart. Muscle by muscle, tendon by tendon. Unraveling him like a ball of string. He screamed but he had no tongue and no sound came out as something cold and hard cut into his throat, spreading the edges of his flesh back like the petals of a flower. Written by Joshua Reynolds. I sat in the dark doom of my living room, gazing absentmindedly at the television screen. They’d be drawing numbers in about two minutes. I knew my number wasn’t going to be called, but I had to watch all the others ones fly by to make sure. If I missed an announcement, I’d doubt myself until I found out. Written by Sarah Klein. Voices of Tomorrow has gone on temporary hiatus. I am working on my Masters thesis(specifically gender and race in the work of Octavia Butler) and it eats up all my time, including my time usually reserved for podcasting. I should be back with your weekly stories in June 2007. Sorry for the long wait folks, but as some of you may know, this is an unpaid project. Sometimes things like getting a diploma and working to pay the rent get in the way of even my most beloved projects. I am very pleased for your support with this podcast. Your comments and feedback have been most appricated. When we come we will have a new theme song, new stories, and hopefully an announcement about future projects. I hope that you will stick with us! -J.R. Blackwell

The dream: Jennie Smith woke up in a desert, standing in the center of an endless, cracked sheet of dirt so hard you could scrape your knees on it if you fell down. Above her, the sky was even blacker than her grandmotherâ??s skin, and the moon seemed like a hole carved into its clay. This Special Edition Episode was brought to you by Pradeep Sanders.
